Improvement

IOS-752

Improved how GoVoIP iOS handles not being able to reach its destination server, or more generally not having an active internet connection, by alerting the user of its limited connectivity. Previously the app would become unresponsive and could crash.

Improvement

IOS-750

Modified behavior in GoVoIP iOS to unregister the active SIP registration when the app remains in the foreground but the screen is turned off. Previously, the SIP registration would remain active and cause a delay before a PUSH notification was sent upon a new, incoming call.

Bug

IOS-747

Added the ability for GoVoIP iOS to notify the user when attempting to send, or after having received, an unsupported kind of multimedia.

Bug

IOS-723

Prevented active calls from dropping following an iOS alarm clock notification.

Improvement

IOS-722

Increased the app's internal maximum ring-no-answer timeout from 30 seconds to 120 seconds. After 120 seconds of ringing, if the call hasn't otherwise been answered or sent to voicemail, GoVoIP iOS will send a SIP 486 Busy message.

New Feature

IOS-708

Added multifactor authentication support for logging into GoVoIP iOS using the TOTP (Time-based One-time Password Algorithm) method available through the Google Authenticator application. A user must first enroll their account for multifactor authentication in the Portal before this feature can be used in GoVoIP iOS.

Bug

IOS-691

Changed the code in GoVoIP iOS responsible for receiving realtime data from the node application in order to utilize WebSocket transport instead of polling. Improves network and energy efficiency of the application.

Bug

IOS-681

Resolved a condition that could cause poor bluetooth audio quality when playing back voicemails.

New Feature

IOS-676

Added group SMS/MMS support in GoVoIP iOS.

Bug

IOS-674

Modified the construction of SIP INVITEs to include the Display Name parameter in the From header.

New Feature

IOS-668

Added the ability for GoVoIP iOS to finish sending queued multimedia messages even when the app is put into the background.

Bug

IOS-665

Resolved a mismatch in audio sample rates when switching between multiple audio devices such as speakerphone or bluetooth headsets. The audio mismatch caused some callers' voices to sound very high pitched (e.g. like Mickey Mouse).

New Feature

IOS-663

Added support for sending and receiving multimedia messages, via supported carriers or through chat, into GoVoIP iOS.

New Feature

IOS-662

Added the ability to additional software echo cancellation inside of GoVoIP iOS. Controlled via the new UI Config,

Bug

IOS-660

Rewrote the code that handles how Push notifications are handled in GoVoIP iOS to resolve bugs and improve performance.

New Feature

IOS-657

Added support commas and semicolons used for "pause" and "wait" times when saved as part of contact phone numbers.

Epic

IOS-651

Added the ability to have group chats inside GoVoIP iOS.

Bug

IOS-649

Incrementally improved support for the iOS system-wide Dark Mode by improving the visibility of icons and dialogs when the system is set to use Dark Mode. Note, this is not yet full Dark Mode support.

Improvement

IOS-644

Added full date-time and language localization support for GoVoIP iOS. Date-time localization respects iOS system-wide date-time formatting. Aside from American English, support for le français canadien is also included at launch.

Bug

IOS-634

Added support for iOS 13 PushKit and CallKit frameworks required to continue to support Push notifications for both calls and messages.

Bug

IOS-631

Improved audio playback quality for system-wide audio prompts. Resolves reports of garbled or robotic tones heard by some while listening to system audio.

Improvement

IOS-610

Added the ability to define a comma-separated list of phone numbers that should be forced through an iDevice's cellular phone interface when dialed. This allows for country-specific emergency numbers to be specified, in addition to allowing region-specific numbers as well (e.g. "311" for a city information line).

Bug

IOS-572

Changed GoVoIP iOS' default voicemail playback behavior to match that of the native iOS Phone application. If a bluetooth device is connected, voicemail playback will default to bluetooth. If no bluetooth device is preset, voicemail playback will default to the phone's earpiece but can be toggled to playback through the speakerphone.

Improvement

IOS-97

Added the ability to sort contacts by their "Online" status, by first or last name, or by extension number.
